User feedback review and supplier survey request for S-701 AC UPS (IEC) &  S-734 AC UPS (PIP) 

JIP33 has issued the following 2 specifications for user feedback review, including 2 surveys inviting suppliers of both AC UPS IEC and PIP to participate.  We are updating these industry standardised procurement specifications and value your input.

We have prepared supplier questionnaires to help us build a profile of standard and optional AC UPS IEC and PIP features currently available in the market place which meets the needs of the oil and gas industry:-

Both user feedback reviews and questionnaires run for a consecutive period of 4 weeks and will close on Tue, 17 May 2022 at 23:00 GMT.

To note the following:
Survey
This survey is composed of questions covering the following:-

  • If JIP33 specifications have been part of your business.
  • What are the recommendations for exclusions in the JIP33 specification.
  • Opportunities for standardisation incl. common deviations/exception requests etc.
  • What you consider to be essential minimum information / documentation provided with equipment.
  • How much inspection / intervention there normally is from purchasers.
  • Standards and industry participation.

The survey will take approximately 20-30 mins to complete, however please note that MS forms does not allow you to save your progress in the interim.

User Feedback Review
The purpose of these user feedback reviews is to capture your assessment on the requirements of existing specifications so that we can further our stated goals of improving procurement and delivery of equipment for the oil and gas industry.  This is the first step in the update and revision of our specifications and is a chance for purchasers and suppliers to be able to comment on how the current specification requirements can be improved.

S-701 AC UPS (IEC) – The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) in accordance with IEC 62040-3, Edition 2.0, 2011, Uninterruptible power systems (UPS) – Part 3: Method of specifying the performance and test requirements for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries

S-734 AC UPS (PIP) – The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for North America projects in accordance with PIP ELSAP04, October 2015, for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.
