S-701 AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) (IEC) specification launched for public review
JIP33 has issued the S-701 AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) (IEC) specification for public review. The consultation period runs for 4 weeks and will close on Tuesday, 09 May 2023 at 23:00 GMT.
The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of AC uninterruptible power systems (UPS) in accordance with IEC 62040-3, Edition 3.0, 2021-04, uninterruptible power systems (UPS) – Part 3: Method of specifying the performance and test requirements for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.
The JIP33 standardized procurement specification follows a common document structure, comprising of five documents. As previously advised, going forward the Specification with Justifications has now been added, which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement.
