New JIP33 specification published – Data Sheet for Low Voltage Motors (IEEE Std 841)

JIP33 has published another Phase 3 specification S-733D – Data Sheet for Low Voltage Motors (IEEE Std 841).

The purpose of this equipment datasheet is to define purchaser specific project requirements for the supply of low voltage motors and shall be used in conjunction with IEEE 841, 2009 Edition, IEEE Standard for Petroleum and Chemical Industry—Premium-Efficiency, Severe-Duty, Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled (TEFC) Squirrel Cage Induction Motors—Up to and Including 370 kW (500 hp).

Adri Postema, Director of the JIP33 Programme says:

“This is the first JIP33 specification which was developed as a Datasheet-Only specification, which further reduces the complexity of our specifications. Datasheet-Only specifications are often adequate for commercial off the shelf products. They do not need a technical overlay because a fit for purpose parent standard is already available, products are widely adopted by operators, and the manufacturers are familiar with the requirements and have proven production processes in place.”
