S-744 Lubrication and Oil-control Systems & Auxiliaries (API) specification launched for public review

JIP33 has issued the S-744 Lubrication and Oil-control Systems and Auxiliaries (API) specification for public  review.  The consultation period runs for 5 weeks and will close on Tuesday, 14 March 2023 at 23:00 GMT.

The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of lubrication and oil-control systems and auxiliaries in accordance with API Standard 614, 6th Edition, February 2022, Lubrication, Shaft-sealing, and Oil-control Systems and Auxiliaries for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

The JIP33 standardized procurement specification follows a common document structure, comprising of five documents.  As previously advised, going forward the Specification with Justifications has now been added, which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement.
