S-743 Metal-Clad Switchgear (IEEE) specification launched for public review

JIP33 has issued the S-743 Metal-Clad Switchgear (IEEE)  specification for public  review.  The consultation period runs for 4 weeks and will close on Friday, 19 May 2023 at 23:00 GMT.

The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of metal-clad switchgear in accordance with IEEE Std C37.20.2, published January 2023, IEEE Standard for Metal-Clad Switchgear, for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

The JIP33 standardized procurement specification follows a common document structure, comprising of four documents which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement. As previously advised, going forward the Specification with Justifications has now also been made available.
