New JIP33 specification published: S-728 Reciprocating Positive Displacement Pumps

JIP33 has published the S-728 Reciprocating Positive Displacement Pumps  specification.

The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of reciprocating positive displacement pumps in accordance with API Standard 674 Positive Displacement Pumps—Reciprocating, Third Edition Errata 2, April 2015, reaffirmed November 2016 for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

About JIP33

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) started Joint Industry Programme (JIP)33 in 2016.  Its aim is to develop standardized specifications that enable the industry supply chain to become better, cheaper and faster.

More than 40 specifications have now been published to date and are already delivering benefits for users worldwide, with another 15 specifications currently in development.
