New JIP33 specification published – AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)

JIP33 has published its 13th Phase 3 specification S-701 AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)

The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of AC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) in accordance with IEC 62040-3, Edition 2.0, 2011, Uninterruptible power systems (UPS) – Part 3: Method of specifying the performance and test requirements for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

About JIP33

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) started Joint Industry Programme (JIP)33 in 2016.  Its aim is to develop standardized specifications that enable the industry supply chain to become better, cheaper and faster.

20 specifications have been published and are already delivering benefits for users.  Another 30-plus specifications are in development and will be published by the end of 2020.
