Latest version of JIP33 document published: S-717 Noise Emitting Equipment (ISO)

IOGP JIP33 has published the latest version of S-717 Noise Emitting Equipment (ISO) v1.01.

The purpose of S-717 Noise Emitting Equipment (ISO) specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for noise emitting equipment in accordance with ISO 15664 First Edition, 2001 Acoustics — Noise control design procedures for open plant for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

The IOGP S-717 specification documents follow a common structure comprising a specification, also known as a technical requirements specification (TRS), a procurement data sheet (PDS), an information requirements specification (IRS) and a quality requirements specification (QRS). These four specification documents, together with the purchase order, define the overall technical specification for procurement

About JIP33

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) launched Joint Industry Programme 33 (JIP33) to develop standardized procurement specifications aimed at reducing cost and schedule overruns in capital projects.

To date, JIP33 has published 58 specifications, which have been implemented across more than 90 projects, covering the procurement of over 105,000 items and amounting to a category spend exceeding $5 billion.
