IOGP JIP33 has published the latest version of S-616 Line Pipe (API 5L and ISO 3183) v2.01
The purpose of S-616 specification documents is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of line pipe in accordance with API Specification 5L, 46th Edition, April 2018, including Errata 1, May 2018 and ISO 3183, 4th Edition, 2019 for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.
The IOGP S-616 specification documents follow a common structure comprising a specification, also known as a technical requirements specification (TRS), a procurement data sheet (PDS), an information requirements specification (IRS) and a quality requirements specification (QRS). These four specification documents, together with the purchase order, define the overall technical specification for procurement

About JIP33
The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) launched Joint Industry Programme 33 (JIP33) to develop standardized procurement specifications aimed at reducing cost and schedule overruns in capital projects.
To date, JIP33 has published 58 specifications, which have been implemented across more than 90 projects, covering the procurement of over 105,000 items and amounting to a category spend exceeding $5 billion.
