JIP33 EPC Partner Group holds its first meeting

JIP33’s new EPC Partner Group held its first (virtual) meeting recently.   The agenda focused on sector-wide value generation from the JIP33 programme, particularly how EPCs can contribute to  specification development and  embed these standardized specifications in their own work.

Adri Postema, JIP33 Project Director says

“While this was a virtual meeting due to COVID19 the commitment and enthusiasm of our EPC Partners is very real. Initiatives like this play a key role in assuring that the whole Oil and Gas supply chain can realise significant benefits from using JIP33 standardized specifications.

“We’re delighted that so many leading EPCs are choosing to be active partners in this process.  We’re looking forward to our next meeting, virtual or otherwise, in July.”

Representatives from all ten partners – Aker Solutions, Bechtel, JGC Corporation, KBR, McDermott, Wood Group, Worley, Saipem, DNV-GL and Lloyd’s Register were present at the meeting.

 About JIP33

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) started Joint Industry Programme (JIP) 33 in 2016 to develop standardised specifications, enabling the industry supply chain to become better, cheaper and faster.

15 specifications have already been published and are delivering benefits for users on major projects. A further group of 35-40 specifications is in development and will be published by the end of 2020.
