S-745 HV Synchronous Machines (IEC) specification launched for public review

JIP33 has issued the S-745 HV Synchronous Machines (IEC) specification for public  review.  The consultation period runs for 4 weeks and will close on Sunday, 04 June 2023 at 23:00 GMT.

The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of high-voltage synchronous machines in accordance with IEC 60034-1, Edition 14.0, February 2022, Rotating electrical machines – Part 1: Rating and performance, for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

The JIP33 standardized procurement specification follows a common document structure, comprising of four documents which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement. As previously advised, going forward the Specification with Justifications has now also been made available.
