JIP33 has issued the following 3 specifications for download and public review:-

S-724 – Subsea Fasteners (Alloy and Carbon Steel Bolting)

S-725 – Subsea Fasteners (Corrosion-resistant Bolting)

S-726 – Specification for Application of Subsea Fasteners

The consultation period will run for 3.5 weeks and will close on Sunday, 18 October 2020 at 23:00 GMT.

The purpose of these specifications is to define a minimum common set of specification requirements for the procurement of subsea fasteners for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

The JIP33 standardized procurement specification normally follows a common document structure comprising of four documents, which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement. In this case both the S-724 and S-725 compromise of 3 documents each and the S-726 is a specification for application only.

It has been developed in consultation with a broad user and supplier base to realize benefits from standardization and achieve significant project and schedule cost reductions.

Updates and future specifications will be announced via the project’s mailing list, LinkedIn and Twitter profile.
