S-728 Positive Displacement Pumps – Reciprocating specification launched for review
JIP33 has issued the S-728 Positive Displacement Pumps – Reciprocating specification for public review. The consultation period will run for four weeks and will close on Sunday, 06 September 2020 at 23:00 GMT.
The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the procurement of positive displacement pumps – reciprocating in accordance with API Standard 674 Positive Displacement Pumps – Reciprocating, Third Edition, December 2010, including Errata to April 2015, Reaffirmed November 2016 for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.
The JIP33 standardized procurement specification follows a common document structure comprising of four documents, which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement.
It has been developed in consultation with a broad user and supplier base to realize benefits from standardization and achieve significant project and schedule cost reductions.
